Company History

Advanced Search Group began in 1987 as a staffing agency specializing in placing chemical engineers. As the company's vision grew, ASG evolved to provide domestic and international clients with a top-rated professional and personal approach to the typical search experience.

Today, ASG is an award-winning member of NPA Worldwide, a global recruiting network with over 400 agencies, which has allowed us to provide recruitment services in various technical disciplines.

Mike Fogarty

Recruiting and Talent Acquisition Specialist with over 25 years of experience in the Engineering Field.

I specialize in the sourcing and placement of Engineers, primarily Chemical, Mechanical and Electrical but due to our network affiliation, can support a variety of other disciplines as well. At ASG our areas of expertise include Process/Project Engineering, Reliability/Maintenance, Operations and Technical Management and Safety/Environmental in the Chemical, Refining, Bio-fuels, Food Ingredient, Pharmaceutical/Biotech and Paints and Coatings Industries. I work with client companies on both a contingency and retained basis with a client base ranging from small privately held to Fortune 500 companies.

I believe I’ve been successful in this business because I stay personally involved in the placement process and I take the time to understand the needs and concerns of both my client companies and job seeking candidates.

On a personal note; I am a Butler University Graduate; have lived in Chicagoland for over 30 years; originally from NJ; married with 2 adult children. Enjoy a variety of physical activities (biking, running etc) and playing guitar.
